Activities
At Riprap Friends, we believe that children with cancer deserve to live life to the fullest. Our mission is to provide immune-compromised pediatric oncology patients with normalized day-to-day childhood experiences, encourage socialization, and support their overall well-being during their challenging medical journey. We understand the profound impact that cancer can have on a child's life, and we aim to be a beacon of hope, offering a metaphorical armor against the erosive effects of the disease through engagement opportunities and unwavering support.
Empowering children through engagement is at the heart of our approach. We offer a range of activities and opportunities designed to help pediatric cancer patients maintain a sense of normalcy and reach important developmental milestones. Our programs include:
Creative, educational, and/or socially enriching pursuits, such as dance, visual art, knitting, photography, music, yoga, cooking, and martial arts. They may also include academic and vocational lessons, such as exercises in foreign languages, computer science, reading, mathematics, and educational games.
