Become A Friend
Join Our Mission as a Riprap Friend
Are you a graduate student with expertise in a specific activity? A professional whose career makes you well-suited to work with children in a certain field? Or perhaps a certified child life specialist or therapeutic recreation specialist? We are looking for passionate individuals like you to join our team as Riprap Friends.
Our recruitment process is rigorous, including a thorough interview and background check conducted by qualified outside research firms. Once accepted, you will participate in an orientation program based on guidelines provided by early education and pediatric oncology professionals, specializing in social work, physical therapy, occupational therapy, neuropsychology, education, and medicine.
As a Riprap Friend, you will commit to a minimum of 8-12 service sessions, including a weekly in-person session with a patient (45 minutes, exclusive of preparation and transportation). If this sounds like a rewarding opportunity to you, apply today! We look forward to reviewing your application, arranging an interview, and welcoming you to our team.
